Reginald H Ford Jr., 65, of Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. He was the husband of Mary Halliday Ford.Born in Newport, RI on September 7, 1946, he was the son of Mary Mello Ford of Newport and the late Reginald H. Ford.Reggie graduated from Rogers High School class of 1964. He joined his father in his business The Imperial Window Cleaning Company and worked alongside his father and brother. Reggie served in the RI National Guard for nearly 10 years. Mr. Ford also served as Sexton of Jesus Saviour Church from 2003 till present.Mr. Ford loved fishing and was an avid Boston Red Sox and Patriots football fan and he loved spending time with his family.He is survived by his wife Mary Ford of Portsmouth, his son Christopher J. Ford and his wife Elizabeth of Portsmouth, RI, his brothers Ronald Ford of Newport, RI, and Stephen Ford of Middletown, RI, he is also survived by his three sisters, Kathleen Evans of Delaware, Brenda McCullock of Virginia, and Paula Ford of Newport, RI. H e is also survived by three granddaughters; Kierra Marie Ford of Portsmouth, Natasha Henderson of Newport, Santasia Ford of Newport, one grandson Madison Ford of Portsmouth, RI, and a great grandson Elijah Wande of Newport and great granddaughter Amya Ford of Newport, RI. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 18, 2012 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway Newport, RI.His funeral will be held on, April 19, 2012 at 8:00am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in Jesus Savior Church, 1 Vernon Avenue, Newport.
