Ret. Capt. Paul E. Barrow, D.D.S.

Middletown, RI - Ret. Capt. Paul E. Barrow, D.D. S., age 85, of Middletown, died peacefully Sunday, December 7, 2014 surrounded by his family at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI. He was the husband of the late Ilene S. (Sterling) Barrow. Born in Paris, TN on December 18, 1928, he was the son of the late Elbert and Bess (Ratterree) Barrow. Dr. Barrow graduated from the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry in 1952 then served in the United States Navy. Stations included the 2nd Marine Division at Camp LeJuene, NC, Pearl Harbor, HI, the 1st Marine Air Wing in Vietnam, the Naval Air Development Center in PA, served aboard the U.S.S. Arcadia and at the Naval Dental Clinic, Newport, RI. Paul retired in July, 1976 at the rank of Captain. He is survived by his children, Paul M. Barrow and Timothy S. Barrow and his wife Barbara, all of Middletown, RI, and three grandchildren Jessica Barrow, Lindsay Barrow and Timothy S. Barrow Jr.He was the father of the late Patrick M. Barrow. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
