Rian K. Pelletier

Portsmouth, RI - Rian K. Pelletier, 34, passed away at home in Portsmouth, RI on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Born in Newport, RI on July 20, 1979, he was the son of Pauline Ann (Henderson) Pelletier and step-son of Wayne Oliveira. Rian graduated from Rogers High School and New England Tech and achieved his license to become a self-employed Master Electrician. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Red Sox, Bruins and was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. Rian was a devoted family man who loved nothing more than gathering around a fire and setting off fireworks with his family and friends. He loved his family more than anything and his daughters were his world. He was a man of strong faith and tried his best to attend church every Sunday.Besides his mother and step-father, he is survived by his fiance, Megan Surber, three daughters; Kaylee Pelletier, Jenna Monell, and Rylie Pelletier. Rian also leaves his siblings; sister and brother-in-law Nikki and Donald Lewis, sisters Kasee Pelletier Joyner and Emma Amarantes and brother Jack Amarantes. He was the grandson of Pauline Henderson and the late Robert E. Henderson. Rian was the proud uncle to Donald and Devon Lewis, Kasia and Kenley Joyner, and Breanne Hazard. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.Calling hours will be held, on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 4-8pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.His funeral will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 9:30am in the funeral home.
