Portsmouth, - Richard David Plamondon, 65, of 144 Prospect Farm Road Portsmouth, formerly of Sudbury, MA, died Friday, February 28, 2003 at Mass General Hospital Boston, MA. He was the husband of Catherine Elizabeth Bowe Plamondon. Born in Fall River, MA on October 23, 1937, he was the son of the late Adrien and Celine Marie Richard Plamondon. Mr. Plamondon worked at GTE Corp in Needham, MA as a specialist in International Marketing for 35 years retiring in 1995. He was a graduate of Providence College, graduating in 1960 with BA in Electrical Engineering. He was a communicate of St. Barnabas Church. He was a former avid skier and was concidered a gourmet cook by his family and friends. When his children were young he coached basketball and soccer and he also was a basketball referee. He also enjoyed traveling the world for business and with his wife of 39 years. He is survived by his wife Catherine Elizabeth Plamondon of Portsmouth, RI, his son Steven D. Plamondon of Ayer, MA, and also his daughter Mary Jane Graves of Ashland, MA, and 4 Grandchildren. His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at 9:00am from the Connors Funeral Home 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth followed with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
