Richard F. Crowley

Richard F. Crowley, 84, of Blenheim-Newport, Middletown, RI, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center, Newport, RI.He was the husband of Helen Marie Crowley.Born in Boston, MA on November 23, 1925, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Frances Sherman Crowley.Mr. Crowley served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He worked for 30 years at Electric Boat. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve. Mr. Crowley was an avid fisherman and loved boating and gardening.Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert Crowley of Pawcatuk, CT, Ronald Crowley of Westerly, RI, Joseph Crowley of Westerly, RI, and Debra Crowley and Donna Atkinson of New London, CT, and his step children, John Crowley of Portsmouth, RI, Brenda Crowley of Middletown, RI, and Laurie Parke of Ledyard, CT; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.He was the brother of the late Robert Crowley. At the request of the family all services are private.
