Middletown, RI - Richard G. Ball, US Navy, ret.81, husband of Barbara Landry Gordon-Ball, and the late Phyllis M. Ball wife of 52 years passed away on Thursday, May 15. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Edward and Emily Gruss Ball.Surviving with his wife are his children, Richard Ball, Jr. of Denver, PA, Stephen Ball of Bourannaise, IL, Dwight Ball of Winston Salem, NC, Rebecca Slot of Sellersville, PA, Laurie Scherrer of Oley, PA and J.David Ball of Clairton, PA, sister Joyce Osborne of Reading, PA, fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Alone with his first wife and parents, he is predeceased by brothers Edward, Jack and Robert, sisters Gloria Wolffe, and Betty Adami, and one granddaughter.A funeral service will be held on Friday, 12 noon at St. Johns Hill UCC Church, 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown. Burial will follow in Hill Church Cemetery, Boyertown. Friends may call on Friday from 10AM to 11:45AM at the church.Catagnus Funeral Home Cremation Center, 1020 E. Phila.
