Richard Gordon Martin

Middletown, RI - Richard Gordon Martin, 66, of 545 Forest Park, Middletown, RI, died Monday, June 5, 2006 at home. Born in Newport, RI, on August 1, 1939, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Gladys ONeill Martin.Mr. Martin served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a security guard at Raytheon for 33 years, retiring on September 1, 2001. He is survived by his sister Marilyn Burns of Newport, RI, his nephew David Burns of Bristol, RI, his nieces Lynn Taylor of North Kingstown, RI, and Lori Anderson of Middletown, RI, and six grand nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John J. Martin Jr. His funeral will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 11:00a.m., in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial with military honors will be at Rhode Island Veteran Cemetery, Exeter.Calling hours will be held on Friday morning from 10 ? 11 a. m. in the funeral home.
