Richard M. Igle, 63, of Portsmouth died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at home in Portsmouth. Mr. Igle was born March 23, 1951 in Harlem, NY, the son of the late Raymond and Jeannette (McManus) Igle. Richard attended the NY Community College and was a graduate of the Long Island Technical School. He was a drummer for the Knickerbocker Drum and Bugle Corp. Richard was a gifted artists, his work was in an art competition with Andy Warhol. He loved music and dancing. Richard loved working on computers, was an avid videographer and always willing to learn new things. Spending time with his family was the thing he loved the most.He is survived by his children, Jamal Igle and Rahsaana Nash of New York, Rahseem Jones of Portsmouth, Elizabeth Sweet Walls of Fall River and Jania Jones of Tennessee. Richard also leaves his brothers Raymond Igle, William Igle and Shelton Sanders as well as his sister Regina Brown. He was the grandfather of thirteen and great grandfather of seven.He was the grandfather of the late Cartier Zeigler and the brother of the late Lucille V. Igle.A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 1pm in the Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus F. Wheatland Boulevard, Newport, RI.
