Newport, RI - Richard Matthew Larsen, 42, of 22 Kay Street, Newport, RI, formerly of Lake Ronkonkoma, NY and Wilton, CT, died Monday, April 5, 2010. Born in Bronxville, NY on October 27, 1967, he was the son of Edward Robert and Barbara Matsen Larsen.Mr. Larsen worked as a controller for Phoenix Bulk Carriers of Middletown, RI. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Robert Edward Larsen of Crystal Lake, IL, his brother Ronald Eric Larsen of Stroudsburg, PA, his sister Cheri Lee Sanchez of Glassboro, NJ, and six nieces and nephews, Eric Dyer Larsen, Taylor Marie Larsen, Kyle Lard Larsen, Ryan Edward Larsen, Justin Carl Sanchez, and Isabella Elizabeth Sanchez.,. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 8, 2010, from 4-8 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Funeral service and internment will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010, in the Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
