Richard Volton

Middletown, RI - Richard Volton, 83 of Middletown, died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 9, 1929, he was the son of the late Alfred Emerson Volton and Isabelle (Perry) Volton.Richard retired after a long career in the US Navy as a Corpsman. During his career, he was stationed in Newport, San Diego and Morocco. He is survived by a daughter Christine Donnelly of Middletown, RI, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (Vandenburgh) Volton and a sister Elizabeth (Perry) Costa. His funeral will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 9:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.
