Bristol, RI - Rita C. Myette, 94, of Bristol, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at St. Elizabeths Manor in Bristol, RI. Born in Woonsocket, RI, on February 2, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Joseph O. and Rosanna E. (Allaire) Lefrancois, and the loving wife of the late Ovide J. Myette. They were married for over 50 years until his passing in "2000". The youngest of eighteen children, Rita graduated from Saint Claire High School and Elmhurst Academy. She was a devoted, caring mother who enjoyed being in the company of family and friends every day of her life. Her hobbies were antiquing, knitting, painting and other arts and crafts. She enjoyed beach outings and spending time in Bristol, Newport and Merrimack with her family. One of her greatest joys was her two grandchildren who made her laugh each time she saw them. A pure angel, she touched the lives of many. Fond memories will live on in her sons, daughters in law and grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons, Marc Myette and his wife Susan of Merrimack, NH, Pierre Myette and his wife Katherine of Portsmouth, RI, and Mich Myette and his wife Donna of Bristol, RI, and two grandchildren, Andrew Myette of Brighton, MA, and Donandrea Myette of Boston, MA. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 9:00a.m., from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m., in the St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
