Rita M. Sevigny

Rita M. Sevigny, 85, recently of 90 Bay Spring Ave in Barrington, RI and formerly of 23 Dyer Street, Warren, RI, died Friday, February 24, 2006 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Sevigny.Born in Fall River, MA on July 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Aldea Mondina Maloy.Rita was a lifelong resident of Warren, RI and was a graduate of Warren High School in 1938, and continued at the Barnbrook Secretarial School. After school she began as a secretary at Crown Fastener in Warren. There she enjoyed the work and progressed to secretary for the vice president, and applied her organizational skills to the time-study surveys of the factory. Rita was a communicant of St. Jean Baptiste Church in Warren and enjoyed travelling to Cape Cod every summer with her husband Paul.She is survived by her daughter Lynn Sevigny-Coombs of Riverside, RI, and her granddaughter Shelby Coombs of Riverside, RI and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister Norma Egan of Newport.Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 28, at 9:00am from the Wm. J. Smith Son Funeral Home, 15 Church Street, Warren, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Jean Baptiste, 328 Main Street, Warren. Burial will be in St. Mary Of The Bay in Warren.
