Robert A. Maynard

PORTSMOUTH, RI - Robert A. Maynard, 75, formerly of Oakland Farms, Portsmouth, RI, died Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at Eleanor Slater Hospital Cranston, RI. Born in Fall River, MA on October 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Frank and Thelma Olsen Maynard.Mr. Maynard was in the United States Army serving in Korea. He began his career at Avica in Middletown, RI, which became Pathway Bellows, he retired as sales manager for the Northeast Region. He attended De La Salle, graduated from Rogers High School and attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Mr. Maynard was a longtime member of Waunumetonomy Golf and Country Club, he was an avid golfer. He enjoyed the ocean, and many other outdoor activities. He is survived by two sons Bruce R. Maynard of North Kingstown, RI, and Brian Maynard of Cromwell, CT, his daughter Brenda Willis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his sister Margaret Shea of Middletown, RI, and two granddaughters Heather Maynard and Sarah Maynard both of Cromwell, CT.He was the companion of the late Dorothy Bairos and the brother of the late Paul Maynard and Richard Maynard.A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2003, at 10:30AM, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
