Robert B. Miranda

MIDDLETOWN, RI - Robert B. Miranda, 58, of 41 Paquin Place, Middletown, RI, died Monday, January 9, 2006 at the Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on June 7, 1947, he was the son of Lorraine Gomes Miranda Santos of Portsmouth and the late John P. Miranda. Mr. Miranda was a lifelong self-employed lobsterman. He also raised homeing pigeons. Besides his mother he is survived by a daughter Melissa Fender of Polkcay, FL, a brother Thomas Miranda of Tiverton, RI, and two sisters Shirley Leins of Crown Point, IN, and Dianne Jarvis of Zebulon, NC. He was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Miranda. His funeral will be held on Saturday January 14, 2006 at 9:00AM in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Friday January 13, 2006 from 3-6PM in Connors Funeral Home.
