Robert "Bob" C. Kent

Middletown, RI - Robert "Bob" C. Kent, 81, of Middletown, died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital Fall River, MA. He was the husband of the late Marie Garrison. Born in Sparrow Bush, NY on June 12, 1932, he was the son of the late Willard J. and Martha Mae (Skinner) Kent. Mr. Kent worked for 20 years for the United States Navy, for 21 years as a laboratory technician at Charlton Memorial Hospital and for 8 years as a security guard on Goat Island. Bob loved to observe planes taking off and landing at the airport, loved Buck Owens and Western movies and enjoyed going to McGovern's and family gatherings. He is survived by his daughters, Chris Anne Kent-Matula of Alvin, TX and Diane Carol Kent-Miller of Fairfield Bay, AR, his very special niece Bonnie Stevens, his sister in law Lena Kent of Sparrow Bush, NY, his in laws Carol and Roy Smith of Middletown, RI, as well as his brother in law Larry Garrison of Raleigh, NC, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Roberta Sheryl Kent.
