Robert C. Massey

Newport, RI - Robert Curtis Massey, 58, of Newport, RI, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Bannister House, Providence, RI. Born in Newport, RI, on October 28, 1952, he was the son of the late Milton C. and Mary Shirley Massey, Jr.Mr. Massey was a gardener with the New Visions Community Gardens Program. He also was a former Newport Little League coach.He is survived by his son Robert C. Massey, Jr. of Maryland, his daughter Robyn L. Massey of Newport, RI, his son, David Ezel, his step-son, Bernard Tribble of Providence, RI, his step-son Joseph Carey of California, his sister Linda Texeira of Newport, RI, his brother Milton C. Massey of Newport, RI, his grandchildren, Onyka Massey of Newport, RI and Jamyn Massey, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.He was the brother of the late Raymond Massey. A memorial service in his memory will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 3:00pm at the Chapel Street Senior Center, Newport, RI.Memorial donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 529 Main Street, Suite 101, Charlestown, MA 02129.
