Robert E. Silvia, 57, of Chapel Street, Newport, RI, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at RI Hospital in Providence, RI.He was the husband of 16 years to Mary E. (Barnes) Silvia.Born in North Miami Beach, FL on October 27, 1956, he was the son of Miriam J. (Frow) Silvia of Eustis, FL and the late Edward F. Silvia.Bob enjoyed fishing, video games, watching wrestling, monster cars and NASCAR.In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Curtis Gonsalves of Newport, RI; two daughters, Lucy Lewis of Newport, RI and Dee-Marie Lewis of Newport, RI; his sisters and brother, Kathleen M. Hamilton of Eustis, FL, Katherine J. Saldi of St. Petersburg, FL, Donna A. Williams of Largo, FL and Edward E. Silvia of Lakeland, FL; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son David A.
