Newport, RI - Robert L. Cook 60, of 21 Pochahontas Drive Middletown, RI passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Newport Hospital.He was the beloved husband of Judith G. Carroll Cook, beloved father of two sons Alexander N. Cook and Andrew C. Cook both of Middletown, and was the brother of Charles N. Cook, Jr. of Portsmouth, RI.Born in Newport on September 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles N. and Dorothy Berger Cook.Mr. Cook worked for the past 11 years as a food service manager for Sodexho at Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts. He was a longtime member of the choir at United Congregational Church in Middletown.Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 11:00am in the United Congregational Church 524 Valley Road Middletown, RI.In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Music Fund- United Congregational Church 524 Valley Road Middletown, RI 02842 or to the American Diabetes Association Providence Office 22 Richmond Street Suite 204 Providence, RI 02903.
