Portsmouth, RI - Robert Lee Sparks, 61, of 97 Turnpike Avenue Portsmouth, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center Newport, RI.Born in Matoaka, West Virginia on October 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Beulah Grace Dickens Sparks. Robert owned and operated G R Painting on Aquidneck Island for over 25 years. He enjoyed hunting and working on his house in Princeton, West Virginia. He is survived by his children Robert Sparks Jr. of North Dartmouth, MA, Linda Gonsalves of Swansea, MA, and Jean Sparks of Dartmouth, MA, his four brothers Charles Sparks of Powhaton, VA, Edward Sparks of Lashmeet, WV, Richard Sparks of Rock, WV, and Danny Sparks of Beeson, WV, his two sisters Joanne Paciona of Delaware City, DE, and Carol Floyd of Delaware City, DE, his seven grandchildren and his great granddaughter.He was the brother of the late Donny Sparks, Roy Sparks, Vernon Sparks, Johnny Sparks, John Wayne Sparks and Linda Sparks.
