Robert Maclean "Biggy" Bigliety

Middletown, RI - Robert MacLean Biggy Bigliety, 58, of Bloom Court, Middletown, RI, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at home. He will be sadly missed by his family and many, many good friends.He was the husband of the late Deborah C. LeMay Bigliety of Los Angeles, CA and the former husband of Bridgette Bestoso Garcia of Satellite Beach, FL.Born in Newport, RI on March 30, 1951, he is the son of Virginia Minto Sullivan of Middletown, RI and the late Alexander MacLean Bigliety.Mr. Bigliety worked as a meter reader repairman for the City of Newport Water Department for 28 years, retiring in January of 2009. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1969 and also attended Roger Williams University.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Bigliety of Jacksonville, FL; his sisters, Beverley Paschoal and Gail Sullivan Holmes, both of Middletown, RI; his grandson, Kevin Miniter and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 9:00 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Cremation will follow.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Broadway and Everett, Newport, RI 02840.
