Robert R. Patenaude

Portsmouth, RI - Robert R. Patenaude, 69, of 42 Turnpike Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. He was the husband of Carol Vars Patenaude. Born in Fall River, MA, on July 9, 1936, he was the son of the late Homer and Marie Rioux Patenaude.Mr. Patenaude worked in construction for many years and he also worked at Raytheon and Shaws over the years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, gardening, landscaping and riding his motorcyle most of all. Mr. Patenaude was a member of the Tiverton Rod Gun Club. Besides his wife of 39 years, he is survived by his sons James Torres, Stephen Torres and Michael Torres all of Ohio, and Steve Hamilton, his daughters Pauline Gonsalves of Tiverton, RI, Stacy Abua of Newport, RI, and Lisa Patenaude of Middletown, RI, several brothers and sisters, his grandchildren Megan, Antonio, Faustina, Karen, Sarah, Eric and Kimberly and two great grandchildren. He was the step father of the late Michael Fuller. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2006, at 1:00 p.m., in Old Stone Baptist Church, Old Stone Road, Tiverton.
