Robert Torkomian

- Robert Torkomian, 71, of 4220A Mango Tree Road Boynton Beach, formerly of 14 Wood Road, Middletown, died Friday, April 26, 2002 at the home of his daughter in Lake Worth, Fl.He was the husband of Susan Baligian Torkomian. Born in Providence, RI on January 16, 1931, he was the son of the late Mehran and Rose Sousa Torkomian. Son in law of the late Paul and Margaret Tuktukian Baligian.Mr. Torkomian worked for Raytheon as a project manager for over 37 years retiring in 1991. He served as a Deacon at Sts. Sahag Masrob Church in Providence. Besides his wife he leaves two sons Robert Torkomian of Snohmish, WA and Gary Torkomian of Middletown, RI, his daughter Lesa Wright of Lake Worth, FL, a brother Kasper Torkomian of Boynton Beach, FL, his brother in law of George and Ann Sousa Baligian of Cranston and Marion Murray of Coventry. He also leaves five grandchildren Meghan Torkomian, Kelly Torkomian, Jonathan Torkomian, Allie Torkomian, Kristen Wright as well as eight nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Malcom Torkomian, Martha Imbruglio, Helen Torkomian and the brother in law of the late Gerald Murray. His funeral will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM in Sts. Vartanantz Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.
