Robert W. Ardito

Middletown, RI - Robert W. Ardito, 61, of 6 Pocahontas Drive, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.He was the husband of Joyce Dunnder Ardito. Born in Newport, RI on May 19, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert and Theda Goodman Ardito.Mr. Ardito served in the United States Air Force for 5 years. He was a postal clerk for the Newport Post Office from 1966 until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Ardito was a member of Wanumetonomy Golf and Country Club. He was a former Middletown Little League Coach and a former Middletown Pop Warner Pee Wee Coach. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Robert R. Ardito of Franklin Park, NJ, and Derek Ardito of Middletown, RI, his daughter Jill Ardito of Middletown, RI, his granddaughter Marissa Ardito of Franklin Park, NJ, his faithful dog ?Roxy?, his sister Constance Clarke of Saunderstown, RI, two brothers Philip Ardito of Portsmouth, RI, and Lawrence Ardito of Culver City, CA, and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Anne Pigage. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2003, at 11:00 AM in St. Marys Episcopal Church, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Services Of Newport Bristol Cos, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
