Roger D. Anderson

Portsmouth, - Roger Dale ?Andy? Anderson, 78, of 12 Braman?s Lane Portsmouth, RI formerly of Titusville, FL, died Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Silver Creek Manor, Bristol, RI.He was the husband of the late Barbara Jean Robinson Anderson and the late Margaret Douglas Anderson. Born in Omaha, NB on May 30, 1925, he was the son of the late Edward and Gertrude Mann Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a Weapons Safety Technician in the Federal Civil Service for 17 years, retiring in 1986. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WWII, Korean and Vietnam. He retired from the Navy as TMCS in 1968. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch #19, the Portsmouth VFW and the DAV of Titusville, FL. He is survived by two sons Roger D. Anderson of Portsmouth, RI, and Alva Roberts Cowan of Taunton, MA, two daughters Donna Levesque of Middletown, RI, and Margaret A. Pierson of Mitchell, SD, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was the former husband of Dorothy Oliveira Anderson.He was the brother of the late Warren Dean Anderson.
