Roger H. Paschoal

Roger H. Paschoal, 75, of Middletown died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center of Burlington, MA. He was the husband of Ann E. (Roque) Paschoal.Born on September 5, 1940 in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Rogers) Paschoal. Mr. Paschoal served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966. Roger's interest in cars began at his father's business Frank and Sons. He has worked for 50 years in the automotive industry; including salesman and co-owner of Newport Ford and salesman for Saccucci Auto Dealership. He also worked for MWR Hobby Shop on the U.S. Naval Base and most recently as a driver for BMW of Newport. Roger founded the original Drifters Car Club with fellow members conducting many charitable works in the community. He was always a car enthusiast, in his younger years drag racing and later car shows with special friends. Roger was always ready and willing to help anyone with a car problem or anything.Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his son, Stephen J. Paschoal of Atlanta, GA, his brothers Joseph Paschoal of Louisiana and Anthony Robert Paschoal of Florida and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Francis Paschoal, Helen Dasski, Florence Merry, Dorothy Stafford and Betty DeArruda.A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00AM in St. Lucy's Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI.
