Ron Ferguson

Middletown, RI - Ronald Paul Ferguson, 55, of Middletown, RI, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Newport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Pierce) Ferguson. Born in Burton, Michigan on February 26, 1957, he was the son of the late Roy and Wanda (Whithuhn) Ferguson. Ron was a veteran of the US Army and most recently worked for Purvis Systems in Middletown. He was an avid golfer, and he loved the outdoors, especially the lakes and woods of Michigan. He was a fan of all Michigan sports teams. Ron loved spending time with his family and friends, and cherished his precious daughters, who were his world. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ferguson of Middletown, and his daughters Spencer Ashley Ferguson and Morgan Sarah Ferguson of Middletown, and Brandy Watson of Flint, Michigan. He is also survived by his brothers Mark and David Ferguson and his sister Jaci Herrin (Tom) of Michigan. Ron also leaves several nieces and nephews, Alanna Shea, Kyla Shea, and Niall Shea of Portsmouth, Boone Lewis of Tucson, AZ., and Tony Herrin, Preston Herrin, Rubin Herrin, Jania Herrin, JT Herrin, and Leona Herrin of Michigan.He is preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Ferguson. A memorial service will be held on Friday June 1, 2012 at 11:00AM, in St Mary's Episcopal Church, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
