Ronald E. Melvin

Ronald E. Melvin, 82, of Tiverton, RI, died on Monday, August 11, 2014 at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MA.He was the husband of Susan M. (Peters) Melvin.Born in Seekonk, MA on June 9, 1932, he was the son of the late Everett and Evelyn (White) Melvin.Mr. Melvin was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was formerly a tractor trailer driver and in later years worked in maintenance at Dadson Mobile Home Park in Tiverton.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Nathan Melvin of Fort Carson, CO, Aaron L. Melvin of Pawtucket, RI, Reva Melvin-Casimier and Michelle Zinkowski, both of Orlando, FL, and Joseph Melvin of Texas; his brothers, Raymond Melvin of North Providence, RI and Kenneth Melvin of Providence, RI; and many grandchildren.A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 11 am to 2 pm at the family home, 41 Franklin Street Bristol, Rhode Island 02809.
