Middletown, RI - Ronald Lema, 52, of Mixter Street, Middletown, RI, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the loving husband of his adoring wife, Karen M. Desjardins Lema. As high school sweethearts, they were together for 34 years. Born in Newport, RI on March 16, 1956, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Lydia Marshall Lema.Mr. Lema was a master electrician. Ronald was a kind and generous gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor who was passionate about nature as it was reflected in his love for music and art. He was a communicant of St. Lucys Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister, Laurene Lema Vivieros of Middletown, RI, and his brothers, Joseph Lema, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, and Frank Lema of Middletown, RI, and several nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Roy Lema. His funeral will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 8:00 am from Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 5-8 pm in the funeral home.
