Ronald Leo Fredette

Ronald Fredette, 67, of 14 Debra Drive Portsmouth, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.He was the husband of Jean Doty Fredette. Born in Proctor, VT on March 20, 1935, he was the son of Ramona Pockette Guimnonds of Rutland, VT and the late Henry Fredette.Mr. Fredette joined the United States Air Force when he was 17 years old in June of 1952 to June of 1956. He then enlisted in the United States Navy in May of 1958 to January of 1974. Mr. Fredette was an avid bowler, he started the Tuesday Night Mens Classic Navy Bowling League. He was a lifelong Yankee fan. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his son Ronald Leo ?Skip? Fredette Jr. of Bristol, RI, his daughter Christine Fredette Harper of Bristol, RI, his brother Bruce Donaldson of Fairhaven, VT, two sisters Sherry Bousquet of Thompsonville, CT, and Sandra Woods of East Clarendon, VT, and six grandchildren.He was the father of the late Carlene Angela Fredette and the brother of the late Sally Dale. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at 11:00 AM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
