Middletown, RI ? Rosalind Ann Griffin Garcia, 62, of 72 Valley Road Middletown, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at home. She was the wife of Anthony Garcia of Middletown, Rhode Island Born in Fall River, MA on August 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine Conlon Griffin. Mrs. Garcia was a legal secretary for New England Telephone for 20 years. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in English. Mrs. Garcia was a communicant of St. Lucys Church. She was a passionate gardener and enjoyed traveling. Besides her husband she is survived by three stepsons Gregory Garcia of Lake Elizabeth, CA, Henry David Garcia of Portsmouth, RI, and Christopher Dean Garcia of Sattelite Beach, FL, three stepdaughters Linda Mosher of Clearwater, FL, Laurel Thayer of Middletown, RI, and Carrie Rose of Tiverton, RI, her brother Dennis Griffin of Fall River, MA, her sister Eileen Barlow of Fall River, MA, several nieces and nephews, fourteen step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.She was the stepmother of the late Dr. Robert Garcia and sister of the late John Griffin. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, Followed with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
