Rose Elsie (Moitozo) Peters, 95, of Prospect Avenue in Middletown, died on Tuesday, November 6, 2102 at Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown.She was the wife of the late Manuel R. Peters.Born in Newport, RI on November 5, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Antonio G. and Nancy (Thomas) Moitozo.Mrs. Peters was a 1935 graduate of Rogers High School and was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Following her husband's death, she worked at Newport Hospital and Raytheon.She is survived by three children; Nancy Peters Dyman and her husband Thomas of Newport, RI; Lt. Col. William C. Peters, USMC (Ret.) and his wife Nancy of North Carolina; and Manuel R. Peters, Jr. of North Carolina; her sister, M. Cecelia Belli and her husband Joseph of Middletown, RI; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Mary Cynthia Peters; her sister, Mary Moitozo; and her brothers, Anthony and Joseph Moitozo.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 9:00am in Jesus Savior Church, 509 Broadway, Newport, RI.
