Portsmouth, - Rose Moitoza Jock, 82, of 206 East Main Road, Portsmouth, died Sunday, February 15, 2004, at the John Clarke Nursing Center, Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Manuel Jock who died in 1988.. Born in Portsmouth, RI, on March 24, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Rose Garcia Moitoza. Mrs. Jock as a young woman had worked as a clerk in the former Leys Century Store in Newport. She then became a bank teller for the Peoples Credit Union and then for the former Industrial National Bank, now Fleet Bank, retiring in the 1970?s. Mrs. Jock was a 1938 graduate of Rogers High School. She was a member of St. Lucys Church. She and her husband enjoyed Ball Room Dancing. She loved animals raising Doberman Pinchers and German Shepards. She was a meticulous gardner growing both flowers and vegetables. She is survived by a brother Frank G. Moitoza of Orlando, FL, a sister Anna M. Werhan of Portsmouth, RI, and a niece Lynn Gurney of Portsmouth, RI, and several great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Leander and aunt of the late Frank W. Moitoza. Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 19, 2004, at 10:00 AM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Brown?s Lane, Middletown.
