Middletown, RI - Rose Marie Pine, 90, of 600 Valley Road, formerly of 521 Forest Park, Middletown, RI, died Monday, September 4, 2006 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Frank P. Pine. Born in Portsmouth, RI, on July 25, 1916, she was the daughter of the late John O. and Mary Perry Bettencourt.Mrs. Pine was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church and a member of their Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Portuguese American Civic League. Mrs. Pine was a great bingo player and loved to go to yard sales. She was known as a good cook and also enjoyed sewing for her family. She is survived by her sons Joseph Pine of Middletown, RI, Francis Pine and his wife Ann of Portsmouth, RI, Richard Pine and his girlfriend Janet Silar of Middletown, RI, Anthony Pine and his wife Rita of Middletown, RI, and Robert Pine and his wife Cathy of Somerset, MA, her grandchildren Shirley Parker of Riverside, RI, Joseph Pine Jr. of West Warwick, RI, Raymond Pine of Middletown, RI, Theresa Justis of Lynchburg, VA, Katherine Friedman of West Palm Beach, FL, David Pine and Allan Pine both of Portsmouth, RI, Nancy Jenkins, Richard A. Pine Jr., Michael Pine and Deltra Cortes all of Middletown, RI, Anthony Pine Jr. of Ft. Myers, FL, Patricia Pine of Orlando, FL, Robert Pine Jr. of Swansea, MA, and Frank Pine III and Timothy Pine both of Middletown, RI, her great grandchildren PFC Shawn Pine, USA of Middletown, RI, Tiffany VanBuskirk of West Virginia, Hailey Pine and Jacob Pine of Portsmouth, RI, Richard Jenkins, Briana Anderson, Brittany Anderson and Teah Anderson all of Middletown, RI, Richard A. She was the sister of the late John Bettencourt, Henry Bettencourt, Mary Lacerda and Emily Conte. Her funeral will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006, at 8:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2006, from 4-8 in the Memorial Funeral Home.
