Roseann ODoherty, 99, of Portsmouth died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at St. Clare Home of Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Richard Smith.Born on December 7, 1915 in Woburn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Skanlon) ODoherty. She was a graduate of Charlestown High School in Boston, MA and resided in Lexington, MA. Mrs. ODoherty worked as a CNA for different agencies in the Boston area for 30 years, retiring in 1990. She was an avid knitter, crocheting and loved walking. She was a member of the Portsmouth Senior Center and the Lexington Massachusetts Senior Center. Her greatest pleasure was her family especially spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.She is survived by her daughter Rita Elaine Brown Boisseau and her husband Philip of Middletown, RI, her grandchildren, Patrick Flavin, Debbie Munley, Daniel Flavin, Michael Tiano, Matthew Tiano, Frank Tiano, Jennifer Falzone, Michael Brown, Jr., Rosemary Brown VanHaasteren and Eric Brown, twenty three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.She was the mother of the late Barbara Flavin and Rosemary Tiano and she was the sister of nine siblings.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM, in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
