Rosemarie Robichaud

Tiverton, RI - Rosemarie Robichaud, 50, of Tiverton, RI, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Mass., due to complications from cancer. Born in Newport, RI on September 15, 1958, she was the daughter of Inis Lothrop Robichaud of Newport, RI and the late Harold Robichaud.Rosemarie is survived by her partner James Floor of Tiverton, RI. Also, a brother Edward Lothrop of Newport, RI, a sister Dianne Byrum of Apopka, FL, nieces Rebecca King of Athol, MA, Debra Clark-Turcotte of Richford, VT, and Dawn Marie Wade of Bozeman. Also, nephews Steve Dickson of Shrewsbury, MA, John Dickson of California, MD, David Dickson of Marathon, FL and Mark Hamilton of Newport, RI also including thirteen great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late David Austin Clark. Rosemarie was a devoted caregiver to her mother and family. Her compassion for those in her life was uncompromised. She loved her pets and was a strong advocate for animal welfare. She also had a great passion for the wellness of our earths environment. She enjoyed photography and was an avid gardener at home with her neighbors. She raced sailboats with Spar Island Racing Association and had been a long time member of the Newport Pool League.She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, class of 1976, received an Associates degree from CCRI, and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of Rhode Island. A Memorial service will be held for Rosemarie on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at 10:00am, in St. Christophers Roman Catholic Church, 1584 Main Road, Tiverton.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forever Paws Animal Shelter, 300 Lynwood Street, Fall River, MA 02721.
