Rosenda D. Almoite

Portsmouth, RI - Rosenda D. Almoite, 91, of Norseman Drive, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown. She was the wife of the late Salvador Almoite. Born in the Philippines on March 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Quirico and Elena Centino Delena. Mrs. Almoite arrived in the United States from the Philippines on April 18, 1988 and became a naturalized citizen on September 8, 1997.She is survived by her daughter, Millie Almirol and her husband Bernardo of Portsmouth, RI; her granddaughter, Anne Marie Almirol-Stockton of Brooklyn, NY; and her great-granddaughter, Eshe Mayari Stockton. She was predeceased by 9 siblings. Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 9 am from Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will follow in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 8 to 9 am in the funeral home just prior to the Mass of Christian Burial.
