Roy A. Fitzherbert

Newport, RI - Roy Atwood Fitzherbert, 70, of 5 Marsh Street, Newport, RI, died Thursday, December 16, 2011 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RIHe was the husband of Rose Josephine Vasconi Fitzherbert. Born in Lancaster, PA on April 15, 1941, he was the son of the late Atwood Clayton and Anitra Easton Fitzherbert. Mr. Fitzherbert worked as an electrical engineer for the Federal Civil Service at NUWC as a branch head in the Submarine Combat Systems Department. He was a member of Wanumetonomy Golf and Country Club. Besides his of 7 years, he is survived by his sons John and Ron Fitzherbert.A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at 11:00am, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Burial will be private.
