Roy Henry Sherman Anderson

Middletown, - Roy Henry Sherman Anderson, 93, of Forest Farm Health Care Center Middletown, formerly of 33 Kay Boulevard, Newport, died Monday, July 14, 2003 at Forest Farm Health Care Center Middletown, RI.He was the husband of the late Margaret Harrower Young Anderson. Born in Newport, RI on September 22, 1909, he was the son of the late Gustave and Alma Anderson.Mr. Anderson worked at Eppley Laboratory for 46 years, retiring in 1971 as President. He was a member of the Redwood Library and the Newport Art Association. Mr. Anderson was an accomplished classical pianist. He also served as the organist at the Christian Scientist Church in Newport for many years. He is survived by his brother Captain Clyde Anderson of Virginia Beach, VA, and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late William Anderson.His funeral will be held on Friday, July 18, 2003, at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a graveside service at 10:00 AM in Island Cemetery, 30 Warner Street, Newport.
