Ruth Florence Parker SauretteTIVERTON, RI - Ruth Florence Parker Saurette, 78, of 349 Main Road, Tiverton, RI, formerly of 45 South Avenue, Tiverton, R.I. died Monday, September 19, 2005, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. She was the wife of 48 years of the late Adrien Francis Saurette. Born in Fall River, MA, on April 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Harriet Teasdale Parker. Mrs. Saurette had been a resident of Tiverton, RI, for the past 45 years. She had worked as a travel supervisor for the Naval War College and NETC, for 22 years, retiring in 1990. Mrs. Saurette was a member of the Central Baptist Church, the Tiverton Senior Center Knitting Club, The Royal Travelers, the Eastern Star, and a Patron of the New Hampshire Highland Games. She and her husband were supporters of the Bartons Raiders Fife and Drum Corps and of the Artillary Company of Newport.. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, knitting, and gardening. She is survived by a daughter Deborah and her husband John Couto of Tiverton, RI, two sons Wesley Francis and his wife May Saurette of North Smithfield, RI, and David Alan and his wife Denise Saurette of Tiverton, RI, one sister Phyllis M. Herritt of Swansea, MA, and six grandchildren Timothy, Emily, Heather, Denise, Alexander, and Ava, and many nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Clinton E. Parker Sr. Her funeral will be held Thursday, September 22, 2005, at 10:00 am, in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will be in Pocassett Hill Cemetery in Tiverton, RI.Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2005, from 4-8PM, in the Connors Funeral Home.
