Ryan William Foley

Newport, RI - Ryan William Foley, 23, of 108 Van Zandt Avenue Newport, RI, died at home in his sleep with his fianc in his arms and his dog at his side on Friday, January 23, 2004.Ryan was born on November 28, 1980, in Newport, RI, son of Mike and Debbie Butler Foley. Ryan was a 1998 graduate of Middletown High School. He was a hard working painter and construction worker for the past 7 years. Ryan also worked as a doorman ?bouncer? at several local establishments. He was known for his sense of humor and had shared the senior superlative of ?Class Clown? with his sister Shannon. He was an Altar boy at St. Mary?s Episcopal Church and a member of the Boy Scouts of Troop 82. Ryan lived his last days to the fullest surrounded by his family and friends. Besides his parents he is survived by his brother Jason Foley of Middletown, RI, his sister Shannon Foley of Middletown, RI, his fianc Barbara Ann Rosa of Newport, RI, his son Capone Foley of Newport, RI, his maternal grandparents Edward and Irene Butler of Newport, RI and Shirley and Ben Gallagher of Alfred, ME, five uncles, two aunts and seven cousins. He was the grandson of the late John and Lillian Foley of Newport, RI. His funeral will be held on Friday, January 30, 2004, at 9:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
