Newport, RI - Sarah F. Stolze Richards, 95, of 398 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI, formerly of 7 Smith Avenue, Newport, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center in Newport.She was the wife of the late Comer Dick Richards for 62 years. Born in Newport, RI on March 19, 1915, she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Burns Stolze.Mrs. Richards was a 1932 graduate of Rogers High School. She was a Medical Records Clerk for 15 years at the Newport Hospital until her retirement in 1976. Mrs. Richards loved the outdoors, sewing, needlework and quilting and as a child she loved to swim at the old Van Zandt Pier. She is survived by her son, Donald Comer Richards of Newport, RI, her daughter, Eileen F. Holmes and her husband, Alanson, of Pittsfield, MA, her grandchildren, Brian A. Holmes of Richland, WA, and Kevin D. Holmes of Pittsfield, MA, her great grandchildren, Brittany Holmes of Sunriver, MT, Michael Holmes of Richland, WA, and her step great grandchildren, Christina Miller, Anthony Miller, Joseph Miller and Matthew Miller all of Richland, WA.She was the sister of the late Bernard Stolze and Jennie Cote.
