Middletown, RI -Sarah A Young, 75, of Middletown, Rhode Island, died on October 15, 2024.

Born in Roslyn, NY on November 1, 1948, She was the daughter of John and Lucille (Caton) young.

Sarah graduated from Syracuse University in 1970, and completed her Master's Program at NYU in 1974.

Sarah's career was varied and ranged from being a therapist at Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire, she was a training leader at a major financial services firm in New York, and a corporate outplacement counselor in Rhode Island.

Sarah was a lover of all animals, but especially West Highland Terriers and a very special Maine Coon cat. She was an avid bird watcher and was the family go-to for identifying any kind of bird by sight or sound. Sarah left New York City in 2000. and moved to Rhode Island to be close to the ocean. Sarah loved her little home in Jamestown, with her gardens and her pets. She was very involved in the United Congregational Church and church choir in Middletown.

Sarah is survived her nephew, Shaun W. Young, of Amesbury, MA and his daughter Lillian Lucille Young and numerous cousins throughout the United States.

Sarah is preceded in death by her brother, John W. Young III.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 2, 2024, at 11:00 am at the United Congregational Church, 524 Valley Road in Middletown. Burial will follow in the Church Garden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sarah's name to the United Congregational Church 524 Valley Road Middletown, RI 02842 or to the Nature Conservatory at www.nature.org.
