Scott D. Tavernese 38, of 230 Hillside Avenue Newport died Friday, January 5, 2007 at Newport Hospital.Born in Erie, PA on May 3, 1968, he was the son of Shirley Chase and John Beausoleil of Newport and John and Joan Fisher Tavernese of Fairview, PA.Scott worked for Stop and Shop Supermarkets in Middletown and Newport and most recently for the Shaw?s Supermarket in Middletown where everyone knew him. He was a member of the Phoenix Club in Middletown. He enjoyed the Newport Creamery and for many years could be seen riding his bike around town.Besides his parents he leaves his grandmothers Golda Peters Chase of Erie, PA and Mary Makara Beausoleil of Portsmouth, RI. He also leaves his sisters Stephanie Thompson of Norfolk, VA and Yvette Mrozik of Deer Park, Long Island, NY, as well as his step sisters and brother Lois Beausoleil of North Attleboro, MA, Janet Kuffer of Cambridge Springs, PA, Lori Stanley of Girard, PA and Michael Stanley of PA, niece and nephew Kaitlyn Mrozik and Stephen Mrozik of Deer Park Long Island, NY and niece Kaley Thompson of Norfolk, VA, one step nephew Joshua Beausoleil of North Attleboro, MA.He leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins.Scott was the grandson of the late Row Chase, Frank Tavernese, Guy and Philomena Cerio Spinelli and Leo Beausoleil.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 11:00am in the Calvary Baptist Church Ludlow Terrace Middletown, RI.
