Portsmouth, RI - Scott Rezendes, 40, of 58 Prudence View Drive, Portsmouth, RI, formerly of Bellingham, MA, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at home with his family. He was the husband of Karen Coons Rezendes. Born in New Bedford, MA on February 26, 1966, he was the son of George and Prudence Poirier Rezendes of Bellingham, MA. Besides his wife of 12 years and his parents, he is survived by his young children, Sarah and Hunter Rezendes, his brother Douglas Rezendes of Blackstone, MA, his sister Nancy Schonberg of Bellingham, MA and his father and mother in-law Charles and Ann Coons of Middletown, RI, his brother in law Charles Coons of Santa Clarita, CA and sister in law Kathy Soares of Swansea, MA. Scott worked for Northrop Grumman as a program manager, both in Rhode Island and Florida. He graduated from North Adams State College and Bellingham High School. He enjoyed playing hockey. He also loved golf and had been a member of Newport National and the Fall River Country Club. He was a member of St. Lucy?s Church, where he and his wife Karen were wed. Scott enjoyed nothing more than helping his children Sarah and Hunter with their t-ball and soccer games. His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at 9:00am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Lucy?s Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 26, 2007, from 4-8pm in the funeral home.Donations in his memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115.
