Selma Auerbach

Portsmouth, RI - Selma Brod Auerbach, 86, of 51 Middle Road, Portsmouth, RI, formerly of Cranford, NJ and Chatham Township, NJ, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Grand Islander Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Milton Auerbach. Born in Manhatten, New York on June 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Eva Garr Brod.Mrs. Auerbach was an avid reader, loved politics and was very intereted in current events. She is survived by her children Elaine Hirschorn of Roselle Park, NJ, Marsha Auerbach of Portsmouth, RI, and Gary Auerbach of Sandy Lake, PA, her grandchildren Louis Hirschorn, Jaclyn Hirschorn, Jennifer Gadsby, Joshua Auerbach and Jacob Auerbach, and her great grandchild Micah Gadsby.A private memorial service will be held on Saturday in New Jersey. In honor of her love of dogs donations in her memory may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow Street, Providence, RI 02903.
