Selma Shelton Robinson

Newport, RI - Selma Shelton Robinson, 80, of Prescott Hall Road, Newport, RI, died Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Jamerson W. Robinson.Born in Lake Landing, NC on August 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Claudis and Annie Gibbs Shelton.Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Community Baptist Church, as well as, a member of its choir and the VFW Ladies Auxillary. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing.She is survived by her sisters, Beadie Spencer of Yanceyville, NC, Della Spencer of Swan Quarter, NC, and Annie Shelton Howard and her husband, Emanuel, of Swan Quarter, NC, her brother, James Shelton of Swan Quarter, NC, her godson, Michael Johnson of Newport, RI, several nieces and nephews and her special friends, Willard Johnson and Kenneth and Maureen Riley. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 11:00 am in Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport.
