Portsmouth, RI - Sharon Delahanty Gibbs, 55, of 286 West Main Road, Portsmouth, died Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of Guy Gibbs of Portsmouth. Born in Newport, RI on March 5, 1949, she was the daughter of late Marilyn Graham Delahanty and William R. Delahanty of Ft. Myers, FL. Mrs. Gibbs had worked at the Sea Fare Inn in Portsmouth for thirteen and a half years as a waitress, after that she had worked at Rheas Restaurant in Middletown for eight years. Besides her husband and father she is survived by her son Derek Gibbs of Portsmouth, RI, her daughter Reagan Vandenburgh of Newport, RI, her brother Stephen Delahanty of Monterey, CA, her sister Christine Powell of Middletown, RI, and three grandson?s Graham James Gibbs of Middletown, RI, Skyler Vandenburgh and Noah Vandenburgh both of Newport, RI.Funeral services and burial will be private.Donations in her memory may be made to the Robert Potter League for Animals, PO Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
