She was the wife of the late George Francis Horgan Jr. who died on Sept. 8, 1991 Born in New Haven, CT on July 8, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James J. Moran and Eileen Weldon Moran. Mrs. Horgan was a Registered Nurse with Visiting Nurse Association for over 30 years. Mrs. Horgan was a 1962 graduate of Lauralton Hall Academy of Our Lady of Mercy in Milford, CT, she also received a BS in Nursing in 1966 from Salve Regina University in Newport , RI. She was a member of St. Lucys Church and also volunteered in the churches marriage preperation classes with her late Husband George as well as participating in the RCI Program and the Circle of Friends. Sheila was also a member of the Hazards Beach Association as well as being a former board member of the Beach. She enjoyed her time in Florida and had wintered in Englewood, Fl. since 1994. She is survived by Daughter Eileen Harris of Narragansett, RI, Grandson Jack Anthony Harris of Narragansett, RI, Her funeral will be held Friday, July 23, at 9:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in the family grave at St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
