Shirley A. Fransson

Shirley A. Gisser Fransson, 77, of Whitehall Middletown, RI, formerly of 352 Mailcoach Road, Redwood Farms, Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Peter Lindburg Fransson. Born in the Bronx, NY on February 1, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lillian Dresbold Gisser. Mrs. Fransson was a credit manager at the Newport Hospital for 18 years, and she also worked as a receptionist for Dr. Richard Carlson in Newport, RI. She is survived by two sons Keith P. Fransson of Warwick, RI, and Kenneth P. Fransson of Middletown, RI, three daughters Sharon K. Baron of Hummelstown, PA, Karen A. Fransson-Girr of Portsmouth, RI, and Janet Figuera of Sterling Heights, MI, her sister Beatrice Zweig of Redwood City, CA, and eight grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2003, at 10:00 AM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth.
