Shirley Ann Andrews

Shirley Ann (Perry) Andrews, 73, of Exeter died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. She was born on November 21, 1941 in Westerly, RI, the daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia (Young) Perry. Shirley worked for more than 30 years at the Ladd School with the disabled. After retiring she vacationed in St. Lucia and Jamaica. She loved gardening, arts and crafts which included knitting afghans and making beautiful wall puzzles. Shirley was the caregiver for the last 15 years to her long-time companion Raymond Harold.Besides her companion, she is survived by her siblings, Alice (Perry) Neves and her husband Joseph E. Neves of Middletown, Booker Williams and his wife Thelma Williams of Newport, Juanita Monk of Newport, Lillian Weeden of Peacedale, Rose Waite of Peacedale, Betty Whitford of Providence, Elsie Hayward of Peacedale, Isabell Stanton of Wakefield, and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Clara Skuce, Violet Ortiz, Edward Perry, Raymond Perry and Arthur Perry. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 3 from 9:00-10:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport; followed by a funeral service at 10:00am in the funeral home.
